The Certified Meeting Professional program is an opportunity for professional development for individuals who are currently involved in the meeting industry.

The requirements for the CMP certification are based on professional experience and an academic examination. The foremost certification program of today’s meetings, conventions and exhibitions industry, the CMP designation recognizes those who have achieved the industry’s highest standard of professionalism.

Austin Study Group Dates:

• Orientation/Application Overview/Course Syllabus – The orientation date for Austin is Monday, July 8, 2013, with location TBD.
• Study classes will begin on Monday, July 15, 2013, and continue each Monday evening (with the exception of Labor Day) through  October 7, 2013.  Specific locations for each class will be announced later.
• Study Weekend date is October 18-19, 2013, and will be held in San Antonio for both the Austin and San Antonio groups. Details will be available in July .

San Antonio Study Group Dates:

• Orientation/Application Overview/Course Syllabus – The orientation date for San Antonio is Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. 
• Study classes will begin on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, and continue each Tuesday evening (with the exception of Labor Day) through  October 8, 2013.  All classes will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
• Study Weekend date is October 18-19, 2013, and will be held in San Antonio for both the Austin and San Antonio groups. Details will be available in July .
